Cake Smash Session Policies & Conditions Booking & Retainer: A non-refundable retainer is required to reserve your Cake Smash session and secure your date and studio time. Your appointment is confirmed once the retainer has been received and the required photography agreement has been signed. The remaining balance is due before the session begins. Cancellation & Rescheduling: Because Cake Smash sessions require preparation of the studio, backdrop, props, wardrobe, and styling, cancellations or rescheduling requests should be made 7 days prior to the session date. The retainer may be transferred to one rescheduled date when sufficient notice is provided and the new date is available. Cancellations, missed appointments, or last-minute changes may result in forfeiture of the retainer. Custom themes or specially purchased items may have additional non-refundable costs. Illness: For the safety of your child, your family, and the studio, please do not attend if your baby is sick or contagious. Contact the studio as soon as possible to discuss rescheduling. Andrea Ruff Studios reserves the right to reschedule a session if the child appears ill upon arrival. Late Arrival: Please arrive on time and ready for your session. Because studio appointments and setups are scheduled in advance, arriving late may reduce your photography time. The session will still end at the scheduled time and the full session fee remains due. Cake & Food: The cake is not included. Parents or guardians are responsible for providing the cake and ensuring that all ingredients are appropriate for their child. Please inform the studio of any known food allergies or dietary concerns before the session. Setups & Themes: Standard setups are subject to availability. Specialty or custom themes must be discussed and approved in advance and may require an additional fee. Child Safety: A parent or legal guardian must remain responsible for the child throughout the session. Cake, frosting, props, and certain surfaces may create safety hazards, so children must be supervised at all times. The photographer may modify or stop a setup if it becomes unsafe or if the child is distressed. Family & Sibling Images: The standard Cake Smash package is for the birthday child only. Parent and sibling portraits are not included unless the family add-on has been purchased and arranged in advance.
